What’s the KR Nutrition process?After the initial consultation via phone or Zoom, Dr. Kylie will send a welcome email with detailed next steps: Send recent blood work to Dr. Kylie Complete the full KR Nutrition health history questionnaire Start their KR Nutrition food log custom to their comfort Get access to the KR Nutrition member portal to book and pay for weekly sessions online Dr. Kylie will design a personalized plan with realistic goals based on the client's focus areas, lifestyle and environment. Dr. Kylie requires meeting weekly until the client feels confident enough in their progress and their ability to maintain their new habits. Clients have access to Dr. Kylie via text or for optional call check-ins should they be needed. Weekly sessions include: progress/challenges check-in, food log management, and creating a food map. Everyone is a little different. We hold space to talk about where they are in the process, the why-behind-the-what for each week, a plan for the week ahead including: customized recipes, grocery or new product list, food planning around upcoming life events, restaurant menu recommendations including places to eat around their home and work, a variety of charts and resources to help them understand more of the why-behind-the-what (including craving sheet).

01. How to get started with KR Nutrition?Reach out to Dr.Kylie to get started via our contact form at the bottom of our booking page here. New clients will be sent a short questionnaire and will receive a link to book their first free-of-charge consultation with Dr. Kylie Reiffert.

10. Will I have to become paleo/vegan/gluten free/vegetarian?Dr. Kylie does not believe in following any one specific diet. No single diet theory is right 100% of the time for 100% of people. Dr. Kylie borrows from many nutrition approaches and medical nutrition therapies to create a customized plan for her clients. Kylie encourages all clients to eat foods close to their natural state, focusing on vegetables, healthy fats, the carbohydrates that are right for them and satiating protein. Dr. Kylie personalizes plans and recommendations to each client — what may work well for one may not work for another. No two people are identical and no two diets should be identical either.

08. Will I be hungry all the time?No. KR Nutrition believes that hunger leads to poor nutritional choices. Dr. Kylie has found that most clients aren’t eating enough, especially of the foods that are right for them. She usually asks clients to eat more. She doesn’t believe in creating hunger or getting results through intense calorie restriction or intense exercise. Instead, she focuses on helping clients feel satiated and satisfied from their food both physiologically and psychologically. Dr. Kylie doesn't ask clients to count calories, the quality of the calories is far more important than the quantity. KR Nutrition clients are very often surprised at the amount they are encouraged to eat and the types of foods they can continue to enjoy!

09. What kind of results can I expect? How quickly?It depends. No two people are the same so no two people should have the exact same goals or timelines. KR Nutrition focuses on empowering clients to make informed decisions about food by understanding how it affects their bodies, minds, and energy levels. KR Nutrition measures results by how clients are feeling each week, changes to their bodies and 3 month reviews of their blood work. Everyone’s goals are different, but all of our clients have experienced increased energy levels and better health. Dr. Kylie’s goal is to help all of her clients get well, be well, and stay well. 05. What is your cancellation policy?KR Nutrition has a 24-hour cancellation policy that applies to all sessions. Sessions will be billed fully if not rescheduled or canceled within that time. Please read through our full cancelation and grace period policies.

07. Will I have to give up certain foods?The KR Nutrition approach is not to restrict foods or take them out of the diet completely unless medically and/or psychologically necessary, but to focus on helping clients eat more of the healthy foods they already love (and to add in new foods and healthier alternatives) to help them thrive and feel their best! Thus, together Dr.Kylie and clients gradually displace the foods that don’t support their health with new and healthier alternatives. Dr. Kylie focuses on providing clients with the “why behind what,” a simple, yet scientific explanation of how their bodies function and why certain foods are affecting those functions both negatively and positively. KR Nutrition empowers clients by giving them the knowledge that allows them to take control of their health.

06. What kind of clients do you work with?KR Nutrition works with anyone looking for support in reaching their optimal health. Clients are asked to be ready and willing to open their mind to a different and sometimes new way of thinking about food and nutrition within their environment both physically and psychologically. Dr. Kylie works with people who want the highest level of access, support, and success to make lasting changes for themselves. Many of KR Nutrition clients know that food can help them feel better and want personalized guidance grounded in science and focused on sustainable results. Dr. Kylie has experience working with people whose health issues require specific diets, people with eating disorders, and people who just want to change their diets for the better. Dr. Kylie’s mission is to teach and reteach how to eat for their body for life - quick fixes don’t work - KR Nutrition arms clients with tangible resources and guidance they can continue to use throughout their journeys.

04. What is your billing and insurance policy?KR Nutrition does not accept insurance, however if clients have out of network benefits, KR Nutrition staff can assist with possible reimbursement. New clients begin with a free-of-charge telehealth consultation. Billing of subsequent weekly sessions occurs at time of session and varies depending on need. Insurance, billing, and weekly session amount is discussed in the free-of-charge initial phone consultation.
